  • Not terribly rare, unless it is able to cut medium height grass in second gear without bogging down! Follow the steering shaft down to the place where it enters the cast iron piece that also holds the bottom of the radiator. You will see a small, playing card sized aluminum plate there and on it will be this tractor's serial number. get that number and then use the "serial numbers" link on the right side of this page to figure out the year your tractor was made. This general style of cub was made from 1947 until 1963, You tractor may have had a little work done on it over the years as your hood/gas tank is a pre-1959 style, but your grille is a '59-63 type. That too isn't very rare and doesn't effect the value any -unless your a real stickler for originality.

  • ugh... your hood/ gas tank is a pre-1954 style, not '59, and the grille is a 55-58 design, NOT '59-63.......

  • Not rare at all. The serial number plate is on the right side near the front of the engine is the plate is still there. I think that style of grill was only used in 55,56,and 57. I know the 58 grill was different.

  • Looking closer. The grill is not the original. Should have the wire mesh grill. it is older than 55. it is a model cub
